About Me

Hey, I'm Abraham

I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Amsterdam, originally from Havana, Cuba. With 13+ years of experience spanning frontend, full-stack, mobile, and distributed systems, I currently work at Transferz where I own frontend systems serving 600k+ daily GraphQL queries and 50k+ weekly users.

The Aurora Suite Story

Back in Cuba, internet access was extremely scarce. So I built Aurora Suite -- a mail-to-web bridge platform that enabled people to navigate the internet through email. At its peak, it had 5,000+ paying customers, processed 100,000+ emails per day, and generated $12k MRR.

The platform was recognized by Freedom House as a tool used to bypass government censorship, and featured on Translating Cuba as "an app that makes a mockery of censorship."

What I Do Now

At Transferz, I lead frontend development across multiple products -- whitelabel portals, partner portals, admin dashboards, and mobile apps. Some highlights:

  • Led a whitelabel redesign with A/B testing that increased conversion by ~50%
  • Built the admin portal for Avoris, one of Europe's largest travel groups
  • Implemented GraphQL schema-based type generation, reducing production bugs by ~80%
  • Advocate for AI-augmented development, reducing discovery+refinement+development time by ~4x

AI-Augmented Development

I'm deeply invested in pushing the boundaries of what AI can do for software engineering. I use multi-agent architectures, custom AI agents, and automated workflows daily. I built Food Fighters -- a complete 2D fighting game -- in ~19 hours using Claude Code as an autonomous multi-agent system.

Background

I hold a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Havana, and I've published research on finite element methods in porous media. I also taught Calculus and Numerical Mathematics at CUJAE (Universidad Tecnologica de La Habana). This analytical foundation shapes how I approach software architecture and problem-solving.
